Papers should be submitted exclusively by email to: redakcija.izdanja@fin.unsa.ba

Paper Format and Structure

Papers should be prepared in standard A4 format, using Times New Roman, font size 12, and 1.5 line spacing. Footnotes must appear at the bottom of the page, in font size 10 and single spacing. Each paper should be organized as follows:

On the first page, please provide:
Author's full name, paper title, subtitle (if applicable)
Current academic title/affiliation
Date of submission
Author’s e-mail address
An abstract that must not exceed 1200 characters without spaces
Keywords
From the second page onwards: The main body of the text
The bibliography must begin on a new page following the main body of the paper. Entries should be listed alphabetically by the authors' surnames and numbered using Arabic numerals. Each entry must include the following information: the first author’s surname and given name, names and surnames of any additional authors (separated by commas), the title of the paper, place of publication, publisher, and year of publication. Works by the same author should also be listed alphabetically. For journal articles, the journal name, volume, issue number, and page range (first to last page) must be provided. Book titles and journal names should be written in italics. Article titles from journals or proceedings should be enclosed in quotation marks.
Finally, any supplementary materials that cannot be incorporated into the main text, such as tables, figures, graphs, or illustrations, should be included at the end of the paper.

Text Formatting

Sections within the paper should be marked with subheadings. Sections are not to be numbered. Two blank lines should be left before a new section heading, and one blank line should separate the heading from the section body.

Footnotes and Citations

Citation information, including author, work title, place of publication, publisher, year of publication, and page number (or, in the case of journals, the issue number), should be provided in footnotes. Short quotations should begin and end with quotation marks, while longer quotations must be formatted as a separate block, separated from the preceding text by a blank line, indented, italicized, set in font size 10, and without quotation marks. If a reference is obtained from the internet, the date of access must be provided in addition to the URL.

If the same source is cited consecutively, it should be referenced as: Ibid., p. 16. (or simply Ibid., 16.).
If a previously cited source is used again, but not immediately after the last citation (i.e. non-consecutively), it should be referenced as follows: I. Džananović, op. cit., p. 68.
If you wish to direct the reader to additional information, you should reference it as follows: See: Mehmed Kico, Islamska književnost između arabizma i arabistike, Hikmet, Sarajevo, 2015, p. 20.
If an indirect source is cited, it should be included as follows: Cited in: Miroljub Jevtić, Džihad, Nova knjiga, Belgrade, 1989, p. 34.
If the source is a translated text, the translator's name should be included immediately after the book or article title. For example: Džasir Avde, Intencije šerijata kao filozofija islamskog prava: sistemski pristup, translated by: Nedim Begović, El-Kalem and CNS, Sarajevo, 2012, p. 17.

Proofreading (Lectoring)

The text, with proofreading interventions, as well as the version with incorporated edits and technically prepared for publication, will be provided to the author for review. This allows the author to familiarize themselves with the proofreader's work, the incorporated changes, and the paper's technical formatting prior to publication. The proofreader is required to track all changes (Track Changes) so that both the author and the Editorial Board can review the interventions.

Note: If the submitted paper does not comply with the specified guidelines, it will be returned to the author for revision.
